2019 Honda CR-V vs Toyota RAV4
Here at Norm Reeves Honda Superstore West Covina, we wrote this 2019 Honda CR-V vs. Toyota RAV4 comparison because we wanted to tell you about some of the best SUVs available on the market today.
Think about it. Honda was awarded Best SUV Brand for 2019 by U.S. News & World Report.1 In addition, the new Honda CR-V’s Touring trim was awarded the IIHS 2019 TOP SAFETY PICK.2 To see how the Honda CR-V stacks up to the RAV4, check out our breakdown below.
We’re happy to help the drivers of Glendora, El Monte, or La Puente, California, find the right spacious and adventurous midsize SUV!
Dimensions: 2019 CR-V vs 2019 RAV4
The first thing that you have to realize about these midsize SUVs is that they’re incredibly spacious. When we say incredibly spacious, we’re talking about some serious room for both passengers and cargo.
But incredibly spacious doesn’t mean equally spacious. For example, the 2019 Honda CR-V gives you 40.4 inches of second-row legroom, and in the RAV4, you’ll get just 37.8 inches of second row legroom. Trust us, the Toyota RAV4 isn’t putting up those numbers, and actually limits the overall passenger space, with the CR-V providing 105.9 cubic ft of passenger room, and the RAV4 providing just 98.9 cubic ft. of passenger space.
And the 2019 Toyota RAV4 is lacking in cargo volume, too. Here’s the bottom line… All that you need to know: The RAV4 gives you 37.6 cubic feet for cargo when all the seats are in place. The 2019 Honda CR-V? Much better! It clocks in at 39.2 cubic feet of cargo space.
2019 CR-V vs RAV4 Trim Levels
To start, the RAV4 offers many trims with subtle differences between them. The Honda CR-V offers four trims: the LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring, all of which showcase unique differences from each other, making it easier for drivers to figure out what they want in their car, and which trim has those features available.
Choosing the right trim level is less of a challenge with the CR-V, too. Features like a navigation system are easily attainable with the CR-V trims, but the RAV4 trims still require an upgrade—except on the highest available trim level.
Interior Features & Technology
The Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 each include a variety of fun and sophisticated features within their respective cabins. Each vehicle includes a dashboard-mounted display screen that can be used to select your preferred audio entertainment for your journey. Each midsize SUV includes a radio, Bluetooth® connectivity for hands-free phone calls and audio streaming, as well as a USB port and auxiliary input to connect your portable media devices.
A feature included with the CR-V that’s not available on the RAV4, or its trims, is the Speed-Sensitive Volume Control; this feature automatically adjusts the volume of your audio entertainment when the engine performance is getting louder.
