The Vineland Drive-In is only 10 minutes away from West Covina, and it is open seven days a week. The gates open at 6:30pm during the week and at 6pm on weekends. All of the movies are shown in Dolby Stereo Sound, and there are four screens with a first and a second feature. Currently, the theater is showing “About Last Night” and “Robocop” on one of the screens and “Son of God” and “The Lego Movie” on another. Admission costs $3 for children and $9 for adults.

Located around 15 minutes away in Barstow, CA, the Skyline Drive-In will reopen for the season on Friday, March 14th with the showing of “Need for Speed.” The theater features two screens and has the capacity for 600 cars. The Mission Tiki Theatre is one of the original 1950’s drive-ins. While over the years they’ve added additional screens and superior digital sound, the goal was to keep it family-friendly and affordable. The ambiance resembles Tiki huts with traditional drive-in food like burgers, pizza, and candy at the concessions. You’ll find family-friendly movie choices like “Frozen” and the “Muppets Most Wanted,” but also action flicks like “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” They also feature a popular swap meet—they have for over 60 years.

Located along Route 66 around a half-hour away from West Covina, CA, the Rubidoux Drive-In Theatre was created in 1948. Over the years, they’ve continuously renovated the theatre by re-mastering and repainting the screens, redoing the parking lot and upgrading the concession stand. All movies are shown over an FM radio and stereo transmitter so make sure you have a good stereo system in your vehicle. The theater recommends arriving at least 30 minutes ahead to find an ideal parking spot for the show. They only accept cash, and admission runs $1 for children five to nine years old and $8 for adults and children over 10 years old.
